EI Interview – Sarthak Sihai

Sarthak is the co-founder of Smrt Stats, a platform that empowers football clubs, teams, academies and colleges with data about the football match (I mean a mesmerizing amount of data).

We found each other on the same page when we defined that “we both support decision-makers decisions providing reliable data”. Sarthak does it technically and tactically, and by joining forces we aim to empower decision-makers with two different complementary profiles for their analysis and decision processes, one about hard skills, and the other about soft skills.

Sarthak studied as an engineer although he never practiced. He travelled since he was a kid and had the opportunity to travel to more than forty countries and live in Shanghai, Hong Kong to mention some. To date, he speaks Chinese, Hindu, English and Russian, already targeting the Spanish language as the next. He is a husband and a father of one (plus one more on the way).

During this interview, we talk about Why we are joining forces and we touch on the concept of Holistic View, which means joining technical & tactical data to psycho-emotional & behavioural data to empower teams, colleges, coaches, clubs and federations with a comprehensive profile.

EI can prepare a player for a transfer to another team, region, country or continent, going through all the dynamics that surround the human and finding that safe space where to recollect, recharge and focus on the played football

We just do not look at hard skills, we importantly highlight the soft skills, they can be the detector for attitude to learning, socializing, keeping composure, show leadership and resilience when needed.

Finally, we mentioned the science and data behind emotional intelligence, detaching from the myth that “we just chat”. Emotional Intelligence indeed is measurable data and proven activities and methodologies to foster and develop one or another human skill.

I really look forward to working together!

Thanks again Sarthak, it has been a nice conversation and surely the first of many!

Enjoy the video interview and stay blessed!
