EI for Positive Organizational Climate

How does #Emotional #Intelligence support #Leaders and #Sports #Coaches in creating a #Positive #Organizational #Climate?

First things first: What’s this climate thing?

The organizational climate refers to the objective perception that the members of an organization/club have concerning how it functions.

In all types of organizations, is determined by the relationships between its members and influenced by the type of Leadership #Style, Leadership #Culture and Leadership #Philosophy the Leader or Sports Coach establishes with the team (human components).

There are numerous examples of teams with high-ranking individuals who do not achieve the corresponding performance levels. When the lack of Leadership is obvious, it harms the whole organization. #PsychoSocial (#Emotional, #Cognitive and #Behavioural) interventions can be considered to recreate the Positive Organizational Climate.

There is a linear relationship between effective leadership and positive results in the organization.

An Emotional Intelligence coach can support this by providing advanced emotional-oriented #psychometric tools (questionnaires, tests, and algorithms) to -numerically measure the levels and areas of dissatisfaction, hence #addressing tailored and specifically bespoke #interventions.

A Leader’s management is #everything.

When faced with times of crises and poor results, for instance, a Leader must continue to work and demonstrate that crises are part of the process and that projects must be adhered to. In this case, the leader generates the best possible organizational climate and the members of the institution support his proposal. The more the Leader of a project understands psycho-dynamics and social behaviours, the more s/he will be able to effectively #manage the work.

The main actor is the #Leader, s/he can count (individually) on the #EI specialist as the key to fostering #Personal #Resilience, #Calmness, #Clarity and #Courage, to be then transmitted from the Leader/Coach on the #Team and #Group level.

The EI specialist can interact with the Group, Directly or Indirectly.

The Emotional Engagement between members has a double-thread relationship with performance.

EI interventions support Leaders and Coaches to coordinate and maintain equilibrium between -Personal, -Team, -Leadership, and -Environmental variables to success’ achievement.

People don’t leave bad companies and they do not quit jobs, they quit bad leaders as they become the obstacle to performance. Shielding humans from achievements intrinsically generates frustration, negative emotions and burnout. The main #responsibility is on the Leaders. Never mind how good, or well-paid a job may be, people will leave if their Leaders do not create a #Positive #Organizational #Climate.

To what degree do You consider that #Emotions come into play, on a 1-to-10 scale? #Voice Your view with a number in the comments, I’d appreciate and value Your thought!

Stay blessed!
